NEVADA CHAPTER

Welcome to the Nevada Chapter of the FBI National Academy Associates. We are a growing group of Academy graduates in a state that is adjusting to the rapid influx of the High Tech Industry, businesses such as SWITCH, Amazon, Tesla Gigafactory, and the long established Casino Gaming Industry. Nevada is 490 miles long and 320 miles wide and is 110,567 square miles, making it the 7th largest state in the Nation. Nevada has 150 mountain ranges, sandy deserts, rugged snow covered and forest mountain slopes, and grassy valleys. Northern Nevada is nestled near the Sierra Mountain Range and the Majestic Lake Tahoe. The City of Reno is the largest City in Northern Nevada with the City of Sparks not far behind. The Capitol of Nevada is Carson City which is located just south of Reno. The Southern Nevada Cities of Henderson and Las Vegas continue to be a bustling and growing Area along with the influx of similar industries as Northern Nevada. Las Vegas serves as the home to the NHL Las Vegas Knights, and the home of the NFL Las Vegas Raiders. In between Northern and Southern Nevada lies small cities and towns, with a deep history of travels through desert and mountains to what is known as the “Silver State” or “The Battle Born State.” The Nevada Chapter currently has over 120 active members and is extremely fortunate to have a partnership with the Nevada Chiefs’ and Sheriffs’ Association in conducting Annual joint training conferences, which are normally held during the first week in November. The FBI and FBINAA have a strong partnership with all law enforcement agencies within the State and will be working diligently to stay ahead of the changing dynamics and demands occurring in this great State.
